Shift4 allows merchants to accept contactless payments, such as Apple Pay®, Samsung Pay®, and Android Pay®. When using a UTG or Commerce Engine controlled device equipped with NFC/contactless technology, the ability to accept contactless payments built in. For UTG, contactless support can be enabled/disabled by the merchant using UTG TuneUp. Some devices by vendors such as PAX and Innowi also support contactless payments.
To support contactless payments, your interface will need to be able to accept a card.entryMode of C and R in the transaction response.
